We have successfully closed the 7th Monterrey International Film Festival, but work doesn’t stop and we are already working on next year’s festival.
For 2012 we have prepared a new concept announced at the Closing and Award Ceremony this past August 26th: “The Festival’s next image speaks about borders, the road among countries and the integration that allows us to have our passports, our visas and all that is needed to arrive at our destinations and for films to finally arrive at Monterrey”.
Our image concept for 2012 highlights the theme that the Monterrey IFF has used in the last years: internationality. For next year, the Festival has decided to work with a more tangible symbol portraying the flow among nations: a Passport. A dark red passport with golden lettering and in the middle as its main element, a seal with the number eight and a rampant cabrito at each side. Visas, passports, seals and the films’ international travels will be the visual elements that the 8th Monterrey International Film Festival will use.
